The Holy Spirit is God's Spirit active in earth, life, humanity, and ordered world into existence.">creation, revelation, empowerment, transformation, and redemption.
The Hebrew word ruach can mean:
• spirit
• wind
• breath
Context determines its meaning.

The Spirit appears throughout the Hebrew Scriptures.
Examples include:
• Genesis 1:2
• Numbers 11:25–29
• Judges 6:34
• 1 Samuel 16:13
• Psalm 51:11
• Isaiah 11:1–2
• Isaiah 63:10–14
• Ezekiel 36:26–27
• Joel 2:28–32

Ezekiel 36 connects the Spirit with covenant transformation:
"I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes."
This is important because the prophetic hope of the Spirit is connected with transformed obedience.

The Gospels associate the Spirit with:
• Yeshua's conception
• baptism
• ministry
• miracles
• resurrection mission
John 14–16 contains extensive teaching concerning the Spirit.

Acts 2 identifies Shavuot.">Pentecost with Joel's promise of the Spirit's outpouring.
The event occurs during Shavuot, creating a significant connection between Torah, covenant, and Spirit.
