Mosaic Covenant

The Mosaic Covenant is the covenant God establishes with Israel at Torah through Moses.">Mount Sinai after delivering them from Egypt.
It provides the covenantal framework within which Israel receives Torah and becomes a holy nation.

The sequence is crucial:

→ arrival at Sinai
→ covenant relationship
→ covenant instruction
Israel does not earn redemption by keeping Torah.
God rescues Israel first.

Disobedience ultimately leads to exile.

The prophets diagnose Israel's exile largely in covenantal terms.
Israel has broken covenant.
Yet the prophets also announce restoration.

The relationship between Mosaic and Yeshua.">New Covenant remains an important theological debate.
Any interpretation should account for both discontinuity and continuity.
