The Spiritual Gift Most People Miss

when people think of ministry they usually think about preaching teaching and evangelism but did you know that generosity is actually listed as a type of ministry in the bible having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us let us use them if prophecy let us prophesy in proportion to our faith or ministry let us use it in our ministry he who teaches in teaching he exhorts an exhortation he who gives with liberality he who leads with diligence he who shows mercy with cheerfulness this ministry of giving could be helping the poor giving to someone a need or giving to fund the work of ministry yeshua spoke about receiving a prophet and getting a prophet's reward receiving someone is your home was a type of hospitality that included giving them food and shelter and caring for their needs this type of care earns you a profits reward meaning that if you care for profit you'll be rewarded as if you did the work of the prophet what's interesting is that yeshua said if you simply give a cup of water to someone you will receive a reward for that he who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward and he receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward and whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple assuredly i say to you he shall by no means lose his reward god wants people who are willing to give and serve in whatever ways they can he uses some to preach teach and evangelize but he uses others to financially support those preachers and teachers god's design is that those who do the work of ministry are provided for by that ministry and paul explains this is a principle found in the torah for it is written in the law of moses you shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the gray is it oxen god is concerned about or does he say it altogether for our sakes for our sakes no doubt this was written that he who plows should plow in hope and he who threshes in hope should be a partaker of his hope if we have sown spiritual things for you is it a great thing if we reap your material things paul also compares those who preach the gospel with levites serving in the temple do not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the holy things at the temple and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar even so the lord is commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel god commands that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel they're expected to live from what is provided for them through the ministry but for this to happen people must be willing to give watching and listening to teachings makes you a consumer of content but financially supporting a ministry makes you a co-laborer in that ministry thank you for choosing to labor with us by supporting this ministry we truly appreciate your prayers and your generosity thank you so much
